Chicago’s popular free workouts in Millennium Park are back!
There’s nothing quite like an outdoor workout with a front-row seat to one of the world’s most iconic city skylines.
In the heart of downtown Chicago, Millennium Park offers a stunning urban oasis where you can get your fitness fix for free (almost) every Saturday morning from late spring through summer.
Spread out your mat on the lush Great Lawn and prepare to work up a sweat as friendly instructors guide you through:
- Cardio kickboxing
- Yoga
- Pilates
- Zumba
As you plank, punch, and downward dog between the towering skyscrapers, you’ll wonder why you ever paid for a gym membership.
(Maybe not, but it’ll definitely be a nice switch!)
After your workout, treat yourself to a healthy brunch (and celebratory mimosa!) at one of the park’s plazas. Just flash your mat to score a free mimosa with your meal—the perfect Chicago-style reward for your sweat session.
With unbeatable skyline views and a festive atmosphere, working out has never been so inspiring.

When are the free workouts in Millennium Park?
The energizing workout series runs from May 18 to August 31, 2024, with classes kicking off at 8am and wrapping up by late morning.
Whether you’re a local looking to shake up your routine or a visitor wanting to try something unique, grab your sneakers and head to the Great Lawn.
Are the workouts really free?
Yes! Summer Workouts are supported by the McDonald’s Active Lifestyles Endowment managed by the Millennium Park Foundation. ASL interpretation will be provided for all workouts.
Where are the free workouts in Millennium Park?
