Welcome to your weekly dose of 10 things to do in Chicago this weekend!
Each week we highlight amazing events and things to do (at home) so you can plan your weekend. Event hosts and small businesses have gotten incredibly creative as they’ve switched to shelter in place, and there’s something for everyone.
As the city and suburbs move towards opening, these events will transition from virtual only to those where physical distancing can be safely practiced.
There are theatrical performances, book readings, live streaming concerts, kid-friendly events, fitness classes, and more.
We’ve highlighted ten things to do below, and you can visit our virtual events calendar for even more fun!

10 Things to do in Chicago This Weekend
May 29 – 31, 2020
Can you believe it’s the last weekend of May? It’s amazing how quickly time has passed.
Slow things down a bit by keeping busy with some fun virtual events. Celebrate Shedd Aquarium‘s 90th birthday. Live music feeds the soul – on Friday it can also feed people. Speaking of soul, the Gospel Music Fest is this weekend (at home). Kids, settle in for a story With A Voice Like This. Learn how to urban forage. Spin the Shakespeare sonnet wheel of fortune. Take a virtual tour of The National Cambodian Heritage Museum & Killing Fields Memorial. Add a soundtrack to your Sunday brunch. Get “starry” eyed on a virtual date. Curl up in a cozy corner.
Whatever you do, have a great weekend!
Please note that all events are subject to change.
