Welcome to your weekly dose of 10 things to do in Chicago this weekend!
Each week we highlight amazing events and things to do (at home) so you can plan your weekend.
Event hosts and small businesses have gotten incredibly creative as they’ve switched to shelter in place, and there’s something for everyone.
As the city and suburbs move towards opening, these events will transition from virtual only to those where physical distancing can be safely practiced.
There are theatrical performances, book readings, live streaming concerts, kid-friendly events, fitness classes, and more.
We’ve highlighted ten things to do below, and you can visit our events calendar for even more fun!

10 Things to do in Chicago This Weekend
July 17 – 19
Phase 4 is here and the city is beginning to open up. While it’s best to be cautious (and ALWAYS WEAR A MASK), this weekend you can dine in a restaurant, take a cruise, and shop at a farmers market. You can also attend a (physically distanced) writers workshop, celebrate pride at Navy Pier, and go on a walking food tour. For stay-at-home activities, we’ve got a Zumba class and an inside look at the InterContinental. There are even a couple of hybrids: explore a bird patch and then chat with fellow birders on Zoom, and see a movie from the comfort of your car.
It’s a weekend that’s typical Chicago: fun, creative, and diverse!
Please note that all events are subject to change.
