Chef Jimmy Bannos is one of the most well-known chefs in the country. His restaurant, Heaven on Seven (111 N Wabash), is an iconic landmark that serves up the best Cajun cuisine outside of New Orleans. He’s mentored amazing chefs himself, including his son Jimmy Bannos, Jr., of The Purple Pig, and Cleetus Friedman. Plus, he’s a super nice guy who just loves what he does. He’s pretty much the bomb-diggity.
