The Chicago Steel Hockey Team announced the launch of its Fan Connection Series, an unprecedented webinar series with appearances from Steel players, coaches and staff.
The Steel was awarded the 2020 Anderson Cup as the regular-season champions of the United States Hockey League after posting a 41-7-1-0 (83 pts) record, a franchise-best for wins and points in a season. Chicago set league records with an .847 win percentage and an average of 4.94 goals per game prior to the cancellation of the regular season and all playoffs on March 18.
The Steel’s four-week free webinar series takes place during what would have been the 2020 Clark Cup Playoffs, April 27 through May 23, and culminates with a watch party of the 2017 Clark Cup Championship clinching game narrated by members of the team and staff.
Registration is free for all webinars and, as a way to thank fans, the Steel is offering a complimentary red zone ticket to a 2020-2021 Chicago Steel home game for fans who attend select sessions (youth hockey webinars, scout character talk, Live Strong as Steel Assembly, Read with Rusty, Breaking into Sports) with a limit of one ticket per person over the course of the Fan Connection Series.
Events will be streamed live and registrants may also access the content on demand through Zoom. Registration links for each public webinar or event are available at https://www.chicagosteelhockeyteam.com/fanconnection.
