Can I apply early action to University of Chicago and still apply to Dartmouth early decision? The deadlines are on the same day, Nov. 1.

“In other words, Chicago’s early action program is non-binding; admitted students need not reply to the offer of admission until May 1.”

You are definitely allowed to apply early action of U of C and early decision to Dartmouth. Since early decision is binding though, make sure you are committed to going to Dartmouth (rather than U of C) if you get in.
